Luckily, I was able to find an iso of the restore media but it wouldn’t boot into 8.6 because it had a Sonnet 1200 MHz CPU but once I replaced it with a stick 450 MHz all was good. I didn’t know that this particular machine would boot 8.6 but once I found out, I had to load it. As much as Apple tries to convince you otherwise, your Mac isnt too old to run Mac OS X Leopard. Once I figured out that it had a bad stick of ram, and hdd’s that were too big (controller only reads up to 128GB), I got it up and going with Mac OS 9.2.2 courtesy of.
